Representatives of community groups from across Gillingham and Rainham joined Rehman at an event on Friday (15 July 2016) to hear about heritage funding opportunities.
Rehman arranged for the Heritage Lottery Fund to speak to local groups about the grants available.
They spoke to around thirty representatives from local churches, schools, sports clubs and community groups at the Millennium Centre in Rainham and explained how to put forward bids of up to £100,000.
HLF uses money raised through the National Lottery to make a lasting difference for heritage, people and communities across the UK and provides grants under several programmes.
